Experienced sync executive to fill in temporarily while sr. sync lead is on maternity leave.
Duration of role: September 2023 - February 2024
Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 (pro-rata monthly)
We’re looking for a temporary Sync Manager in Los Angeles to oversee global sync operations for a 3-6 month period starting September 2023. You’ll pitch to the music supervisor community all of Future Classic’s releases, negotiate and handle clearance for incoming requests, and draft licenses + invoices for confirmed placements. This successful candidate will have excellent relationship management skills, be driven to win opportunities for our artists and be a team player throughout the temporary work period.
Responsibilities include:
- Creative pitching (both proactive and reactive) to music supervisors in the film, tv, advertising, gaming and trailer spaces.
- Handle quotes, approvals and licensing for deals in relevant territories.
- Oversee digital marketing of the roster including new music mailers, gig invites, etc.
- Help organize and maintain the online Disco music library - creating themed playlists, featuring artists and tracks, and tagging music with relevant metadata.
- Handle day-to-day administrative work including income tracking and financial reporting.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal teams, notably A&R and creative marketing.
- Draft and share pitch reports with our priority artists and their teams.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience working in sync; successful track record for landing placements.
- Confidence in meeting new people and building relationships.
- Comfortable meeting artists, and managers; working closely with internal teams.
- Highly organized - a self-starter who can work independently.
